Fertagyl is an approved medication for specific uses in cattle:

1. Treatment of cystic ovaries in dairy cattle: It addresses cystic ovaries, a condition affecting dairy cows.

2. Estrous synchronization in dairy and beef cattle: It can be used alongside Estrumate (cloprostenol injection) to synchronize estrous cycles. This synchronization facilitates fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI), a process crucial for reproductive management in both lactating dairy cows and beef cows.

Dosage & Administration:

• Each milliliter (mL) of Fertagyl contains 43 micrograms of gonadorelin.
• For the treatment of cystic ovaries: Administer 2 mL per cow via either intravenous or intramuscular injection.
• For estrous synchronization: Also administer 2 mL per cow via either intravenous or intramuscular injection. Detailed dosing regimens can be found in the package insert.
