Equisul-SDT (Sulfadiazine/Trimethoprim) (400 mg/mL) suspension is for the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections in horses caused by susceptible strains of Streptococcus equi subsp. Equisul-SDT is in a convenient liquid form. There is no need to worry if your horse will dislike the taste on their feed!
Dosage: Give 2.7mL per 100 lbs of body weight twice daily for 10 days.
Because of its broad spectrum nature, veterinarians have recently found it to be effective in treating scours in freshly weaned piglets. Consult with your veterinarian for off-label use of this product.
