DORMOSEDAN® GEL
(detomidine hydrochloride)
From farrier work to first aid care, sometimes horses get nervous, frightened or uncooperative, and may need support to help keep them and their handlers safe. DORMOSEDAN® GEL (detomidine hydrochloride) is a mild standing sedative prescribed by the veterinarian, and its oromucosal formula is easy for horse owners to administer under the tongue. For horse care and husbandry procedures where horses may become too anxious to work with safely, acquiring prescription DORMOSEDAN® GEL from a veterinarian ahead of time can provide peace of mind by helping to facilitate a safe experience for both horses and handlers.

Indications
DORMOSEDAN® GEL is indicated for sedation and restraint in horses. It has been shown to be effective as a mild standing sedative for use prior to routine horse care procedures.

Dosage & Administration:

1 tube sedates a 1,210-1,320lbs horse. Dormosedan Gel is meant to be administered under the tongue, not swallowed. It takes approximately 40 minutes to take effect. Effects last 90-180 minutes.
